About PAFTA

Established in 2012, PAFTA offers weekly drama classes in Bromborough for young people aged 8 to 19 years.

We believe that the Arts is vital for everyone, whether they intend to pursue a career in performance, to teach, to write, or to transfer the skills to any other area of life.

Our aim is to explore possibilities, broaden horizons and create wonderful opportunities for our students through ensemble productions and engaging classwork.

Everything we produce is entirely original and covers a wide range of genres, styles and performance techniques. We tailor our work to suit the individual personalities in our classes, so that everyone feels seen, heard, appreciated and challenged.

But don't just take our word for it - take a look at what our members say:

"Really unique environment in supporting the creativity and independence of young people, has increased my confidence tenfold; it's the highlight of my week and I've made so many brilliant friends through the classes!"

  • Aimee,16 (student)

"My daughter loves this group so much, really helps with all her extra energy and her crazy imagination! Lovely bunch of children and amazing teachers!"

  • Louise (parent)

"I have always felt completely at home at PAFTA. It is one of the only places where I know that I can truly be myself and I will always be accepted, and because of this, I spend each week looking forward to spending my Saturday 'releasing my crazy' whilst learning loads of new skills and being surrounded by amazing friends and fabulous teachers! PAFTA isn't just a youth theatre, it is a family, and one that I am incredibly grateful and proud to be a part of!"

  • Meral, 16 (student)

"PAFTA is the best thing to ever happen to our daughter. It has given her a place where she can express herself, contribute and belong. As well, she has learned many skills that will be with her as she grows into a well-rounded young lady. So happy that someone recommended this theatre academy to us."

  • Tina (parent)

It’s a loving and respectful community filled with the most vibrant personalities, and the shows we put on are nothing short of astounding."

  • Jack, 16 (student)

"I've been going here for over 6 years now and it's honestly become a second home for me, I've gained so much confidence. I have learned how to work as a team to create amazing productions in a really positive environment surrounded by great teachers! I wouldn't want to be anywhere else!"

  • Ruby, 15 (student)
